Sad

She's lived a long, fruitful life. I always marvel at people who live into their 90s and 100s. I mean, Barbara was decently old even when her husband was president.

That makes me sad.  She's seems like a great person and has led a long, impactful life.  Hopefully she is comfortable now.  It will be hard for her to go before George I'm sure.  He will be right behind her, that's always how it seems to work.

Not much to say other than that I hope she and her family can find comfort in this time.

No Trump supporter has any right to extend any sympathy to her or her family after the crap your current leader (who you’ll dump as soon as it’s convenient, just like you did with Dubya) threw at the Bush family.

The Bush’s are saints compared to Trump and his family. They’re saints compared to you and everyone else who still supports this man.

I don't think you will find too many people on the left who think W was an overtly good president. He doesn't seem quite as bad as he did around 2007-2008, mostly because of the ethnic nationalist turn the Republican party has since taken under Trump, but he still seems pretty awful.

Democrats today commonly express positive views of GWB because he is useful to them. Since Trump is currently the enemy, complimenting Bush bears no political consequences as he's not running for anything. It is useful for them to build a facade of bipartisan credibility, so GWB is a convenient prop. It also helps them find another angle to criticize Trump from since it doesn't matter much what direction Trump is criticized from as long as he's criticized. That's all. Politicos do that sort of thing all the time. Republicans did this with Hillary/Obama once upon a time too. Only a fool (which incidentally does include most of the GOP establishment Tongue) takes such compliments as genuine.

Shut up. The Bushes are not good people (poor Babs aside) and her demise will not change the fact that her war criminal son and his newfound hypocritical, vapid admirers from the left are horrible people.

The Bush’s are saints compared to Trump and his family. They’re saints compared to you and everyone else who still supports this man.

I'm afraid not.

Jesus told us to pray for our enemies, so praying for the Peace of God for the Bush Family at this time is being obedient.

I modified this post by deleting a sarcastic (but factual) rant on the Bushes.  Now is not the time.  But the Bushes are who they are; being more genteel doesn't mean being more decent.

But he doesn't have the Lee Atwaters of the world doing his dirty work.

Michael Cohen? Who's that?

Not Lee Atwater.

The 1988 Bush campaign used racist appeals in ways Trump's enemies wished they could credibly say.

I find it amazing that someone can (correctly) perceive the 1988 Bush campaign as overtly racist, but not the Trump campaign

When people go on hospice care, it's generally because there is no reasonable hope for recovery.

A family friend had to make this decision a few weeks ago and recently passed away. It's never an easy decision, either for the patient or for their family.

Agree.
She is at a point where she is tired of all the poking and doctors.
There comes a time when you just want to go home and peacefully go. Sad but true.
