Interesting fact: Dick Devos, Republican candidate for Michigan governor, is one of the 400 wealthiest people in American with a net worth of 3.4 billion dollars.

http://www.forbes.com/lists/2005/54/Name_4.html

Sounds like an elitist to me! He could fund every political candidate in the country without a problem.

We should surely ban wealthy people from running for office.

Labor Unions are still to strong for DeVos to win here. Granholm is a unpopular governor, but she still should pull off anywhere from a 55-44 win to a 52-48 win.

Stabenow should be safe against someone like Kieth Butler. She is still pretty much respected around here. 56-43 win for her, I guess.

yeah no way will DeVos win I've been saying this for a while.  People point to granholm's approval ratings, but Michigan voters aren't going to dump her for the son of some super rich conservative anti union republican who uotsourced jobs to China, no matter how low her approval falls.  My guess right now Granholm 53%-55%ish   to DeVos 43%-45%ish

Butler won't come close 56-43 sounds good maybe as high as 45% for him if he runs a good campaign.  i'm sick of hearing how he will get the black vote

I just have a feeling that the only reason butler is getting some serious support by republican leaders is because they have some strange fantasy he can steal the black/detroit vote away from stabenow
