I forgot we aren't allowed to criticize Saint John the Murderer because muh healthcare vote made him a Resistance Hero.
No, I'm afraid that's not true. The healthcare vote didn't make him a Resistance Hero, his bravery, long service, commitment, and honesty made him an American Hero. He's a major FF, for me at least.

I’m going to predict but the color of your avatar that you hated him in 2008.
You know, I didn't. I've always respected and admired him, despite my disagreements with him.

Get well soon, Mr. McCain. Although I differ with you on issues, you' ve been a patriot and good man.

I love and admire John McCain as a person, though I wouldn't have voted for him in '08, and we frequently disagree on policy. Hope he gets well soon.

He’s a warmongering scumbag who would’ve bombed more Vietnamese villagers if he was a better pilot. I don’t wish death on him, though.

Wishing him a speedy recovery.

He really should consider resigning, though. He's been out of the Senate for half a year and denies the people of Arizona half of their Senate representation by doing so.

I don't wish McCain to die nor for him to suffer a prolonged ilness, but I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon of his keyboard canonization here.

He is probably trying to hold out in hopes of preventing a 2018 special election.

It looks like the deadline is probably May 30th.

John McCain is the first major politician I met in person. I also think he would've been a fine President even though I voted for Obama in 2008.

I wish him well.

Brave John McCain who got all the credit for voting against skinny repeal before voting for skinny repeal (it was in the tax bill).

McCain missed the Tax Reform vote due to illness.

That was the conference report. He had already voted for the bill, and I'm sure they would have had him vote had they needed it, but they knew it would have the other 50 Republicans voting for it just like they did for the original bill.

ITT: the usual suspects further demonstrate that they will never pass up an opportunity, not even grave illness or even death of a man with a family and friends, to prove to an internet board full of strangers that they are morally superior to someone.

they think they're better than everyone else because they don't support mainstream political positions and it's sickening.
