For some reason, I have always imagined that I would have a daughter, and I think because of that I tend to like more "reasonable" girl names, while the boy names I like tend to be very out there.

Hmmm....I'm partial to the name "Grace" for a girl (yep, I'm old school, LOL).  For a son....not sure, but the name "George" appeals to me (it was my father's and grandfather's name, as well as the name of my oldest brother).  Personally, my first name is Matt...."Matt Jr."?

IMO, Roosevelt and Blake are (or should be) exclusively guys' names.  But if you want to name a daughter either of those things, I can't stop you; go right ahead.

To be honest, creative names like that are already pretty common these days. There’s a modest reversion to some older, more traditional names going on right now. I don’t know if it’s a trend for the long term, though.

A lot of the "newer" or more "unique" names just remind me of the Starbucks Frappuccino crowd (if anyone knows what I mean).

So yeah, I'd probably name my kid something more "traditional" like James or Sarah.
