Looks big: it started from student protests and anger at changes to social security, which escalated after municipal authorities tried to put the protests down with an iron fist. There are at least 40 deaths so far, and protesters have started attacking First Lady's weird "iron trees" (some hideous public art project intended to beautify the landscape).

Hopefully this means the reign of Ortega, always the most unpleasant (and sold out) of the Latin American leftists is coming to an end.
