Who would the losing Democratic candidates have selected as their running mate if they won the nomination?

Sanders: Gabbard, Klobuchar, Sherrod Brown, Bullock

O’Malley: honestly no idea, Swalwell? Perhaps Gillibrand.

Webb: O’Malley would be a surprisingly good fit. Webb could’ve tried to get Angus King on board, probably without much success. Webb would need someone ideologically-charged and experienced; Sherrod Brown comes up again. The ideal pick is someone like John Edwards but with a semblance of personal morality. Feingold could have filled this gap quite well.

Chafee: Jeb Bush

Lessig: some celebrity, probably Bernie Sanders

Sanders seems like the kinda guy who'd have picked someone like Keith Ellison or Raul Grijalva for a regional and minority balance.

Sanders is a minority. He's Jewish.
