V-1 is necessary to ensure constitutional compliance with the dormant commerce clause.

The alternative represents a Regional barrier to goods in interstate commerce.

in Philadelphia v. New Jersey the Supreme Court held: "A state may not prohibit or place barriers to articles of commerce entering or exiting its boundaries without express Congressional authorization or a compelling state interest." Just as trash in this case was an article in interstate commerce, plastic grocery bags are articles in interstate commerce.

II-1 is a widely utilized method of promoting greater environmental compliance. https://www.epa.gov/compliance/state-audit-privilege-and-immunity-laws-self-disclosure-laws-and-policies

III-2 literally just protects outdoorsy people for being outdoors. How in the hell is hunting with lead bullets or fishing with a sinker that happens to be lead "pollution" in any meaningful sense of the word?

So be it. I shall not vote for it and strongly urge the Senate not to roll back environmental regulations.

Read the bill. As amended this bill creates 5 new environmental regulations on big oil and eliminates 3 regulations: 1 affecting small farmers, 1 mandating unsafe cars, and the water vapor one is just for the future. There are no current regulations for water vapor, I just dont want EPA to assume they can just regulate it.

This bill also generates lots of money to clean up toxic waste sites and closes an egregious tax loophole for tar sands oil, and it also makes environmental permitting more efficient without sacrificing any scientific data.

I would hardly consider that rolling back environmental protections. This bill is a pro environmental bill that makes Atlasia more green.

That being said, voting is now open for 72 hours or until all 6 Senators vote, whichever is soonest.

I believe that the excesses of the Bill have been removed, and I think it's a good thing for the environment now.
