This took place today.

Turnout was quite low, probably only 30-40% - but no significant irregularities were reported.

Results will be out in the next 2 days.

So, uh... I heard Sadr appears to be in first place after preliminary results. He can't possibly have enough to build a coalition and become PM, right?

Sadr himself didn't run, so he can't be PM:

So if these results hold, then Sadr's party has a plurality of seats, but far short of a majority, so the other parties could lock him out if they can actually agree among each other.

It seems the Sadr bloc is doing pretty well.  Haider is in trouble.

54/329 seats is barely 16% of the whole parliament. Sadr's bloc may be the largest single one, and it may well be kingmaker, but it's not going to be governing without a really broad coalition.
