According to some here Warren would not be competitive in WI. I disagree, I believe her economic populism could potentially sell well there. I think an "elitist" image matters less when the candidate comes with real substance.

Tilt Warren, she has better appeal to those voters than Clinton did.

I go with pure tossup. I could see Warren eke a Kerry 04 win.

Lean Warren.

Toss-up simply because Trump is so polarizing, but this idea that Warren is some electoral juggernaut or a great fit for those states is pretty ridiculous IMO. Yeah, she’d be a stronger candidate than Clinton, but that’s a really low bar.

True, but a high bar isn't needed in a state that's voted D since 1988 barring this election, even John Kerry won, and Bush Jr wasn't that bad a fit for the state.

Tilt Warren.

Let's not act like Trump eviscerated Hillary here.

I say tossup, Warren isn't the best candidate for Democrats to run, but she still could win Wisconsin in 2020.

She's definitely a better fit for the state than Clinton, so she'd definitely do better here relative to the PV, but the media and rightwing machine will work tirelessly to smear the shrill lizard Fauxcommuhontas. I'd say Toss-Up overall.

Lean Warren. She'd probably win Wisconsin by around 5 points, depending on dominating issues.

Toss-up. I'm not sure I buy any of the following about Warren:

1. that she will keep her message focused on left-wing economics (it will be hard not to get dragged into debates about social issues, a losing battle in a state with Wisconsin's demographics even if she gets to 270)
2. that the rural Wisconsin voters who went Obama-Trump will come back and vote for her even if she does (I truly believe they voted Trump to reject Democrats, not specifically Hillary)
3. that the wealthy suburbs surrounding Milwaukee will be as competitive with someone so far left running on raising their taxes (I think a lot of the voters who went Mitt-Hillary rejected Trump specifically since they also voted GOP for Congress in large numbers).

So while I think she definitely has a good chance, I'm skeptical she can get the old union machine and all its voters behind her, and I struggle to see where she improves anywhere else given that she'd probably lose ground in the suburbs. Can she get more turnout in Dane County? Maybe Milwaukee County? Perhaps the former, but I think there are many other candidates better suited to the latter.
