Witness tampering now... Manafort is a goner (unless a certain someone were to pardon... but Manafort's stuff seems more of a tangent they uncovered, and I don't think he ever had a good relationship with Trump)

How well does President Trump reward fall-on-your-sword loyalty? In about three months we shall find out.

Wow!
The article says that Mueller is asking the court to send him to jail immediately (instead of continuing for him to be on house arrest) ...

What's interesting is that Trump actually tweeted about Manafort a few days ago before this story broke. Manafort hadn't been in the news in a while so it seemed like a kind of random thing to tweet about. But the White House was aware before the general public. If Trump ever seems more tweet-panicky than normal, especially about this Mueller probe, it's because things are occurring in the probe behind the scenes that haven't been made public just yet.

*His tweet, unsurprisingly, is a lie. He and his campaign were indeed warned by the FBI about Russian infiltration as soon as he got the nod.

How well does President Drumpf reward fall-on-your-sword loyalty? In about three months we shall find out.

He doesn't. He uses his strangely loyal associates as a shield and then tosses them aside when they completed their job and ruined their lives for his gain. Maybe if they're lucky they get a pardon.

All true, but that last part is key.

The pardon won't come so much out of loyalty as Trump trying to protect his orange ass.

Precisely. It always comes back to somehow being about Trump.

If Manafort flips, it will be the end of Trump's presidency.

Mueller is tightening the screws on both Cohen and Manafort.
If they both flip, wow ... trump could see his investigation-troubles go from bad to worse.
