Did Wulfric just ordered a fellow King's hanging?

Former King who is in British Custody, but yes.

Btw,
I believe that the current alliances are weird.

Austria-Sweden-Ottoman vs Prussia-Russia would make much more sense Wink

As someone who immensely enjoys focusing on internal development and diplomacy I have to ask: why are you, assholes, keep pushing us forward to a great war? Tongue

Seriously, it sometimes feels like a war game rather than something else.

Well, it seems all of the assassinations may be a small part of it.

After some struggle over whether to do it or not, I am going to have to drop out with my sincerest apologies.

Partly because of a lot of RL pressure in the past couple of weeks (plus running a game of my own), but also because I've gotten the impression that I may be taking the game more personal than I should - much like Concert -, leading me to spend perhaps too many hours on it. It really is as fun, brilliant and complex as it gets, and I take my hat off to Spamage for being easily the best GM of the board.

I don't rule out returning on a more measured basis at a later date, and I'm rather sorry if this causes some inconvenience - for what is essentially a bit of a self-centered decision -, but I actually think taking a step back might be a good thing for my current predicament.

Everyone please relax.

The best thing to do is to extend the turn for some more days so everyone has time to relax and that things go to normal.

But that's Spamage's call obviously.

I'd be fine with a few day extension.

Ditto.

Also kudos for Lumine. It's very mature to call it quits if one feels their attention better be directed somewhere else. I also enjoy the game, and I'm not sure I'd do this.

Indeed, I'm sorry to see Lumine go, though I totally understand the reasoning Sad . That makes several top-notch players we've lost rather recently.

I'm fine with extending the turn until Sunday evening. I still have very few orders anyways Wink

Can't wait for another dramatic description of a monarch's execution Tongue

Seriously, look how much of a usual business assasinatting/executing ruling royalty became since X managed his Polish subjects to get to upset they decapitated him.

Thank you Blair and Lumine for your tremendous work as players and I hope  you will be back soon.

-----
Spamage, basically Italy is totally destroyed except Milan, Tuscany and Naples? That means that Naples will be more economically advanced than the north in this scenario?

An another question:
You said that it was even more deadly than the thirty years war. As basically 60% of the population in Central Europe were killed, how many % of the population got killed in Italy please?

Update will be coming tomorrow. Expect one MAJOR development (though naturally several of you are already in the know, having organized it behind the scenes Wink )

Update posted. Prussia and Austria are at war (again... Wink )

Starting to work on the next turn now. Happy to announce GOTfan will be rejoining as Paolo Renier of Venice!

Unfortunately, you have been overthrown Sad . You're welcome to wait a turn and perhaps rejoin as the constitutional government, or pick from one of the current available powers

I'd suggest Prussia personally. Since they are a major power now at war with Russia and Austria.

Also nice turn update Spamage!

Hello! Can I join as Japan?

I'd love to play but I'd much prefer to start outside of Europe so it's not too demanding for me
