It has been brought to my attention that the Polish Revolutionary Republic lives on.  Getting a little misty-eyed over here, folks.  The accidental Frankenstein's Monsters always grow up so fast Cry

Is there, perhaps, a place for me in this great looking game?

I'd PM Spamage to see which countries are available.

Please stop empty quoting. Every time I see that there is an update to the thread I'm ready to leap out of my chair with anticipation. Oh, and also:

Hey I initially agreed to take over for someone about to resign but unfortunately I think it's just too much of a time commitment for me right now to jump into the middle of a game that has already progressed so far. I love this kind of game and it would be fine if the diplomatic situation was a blank slate but unfortunately trying to get up to speed on the diplomatic landscape while simultaneously facing life-or-death negotiations with nearly ten people -- especially when I have yet to look back to fully understand each of their true motives, capabilities, or even the typical demeanor of any of my fellow players -- seems to be more than I can manage at the moment (perhaps if I was still unemployed! Tongue)

I know I don't necessarily have to do all that stuff but I'm sure everyone can appreciate that if I'm going to play a role, I'm going to do it right - as a fully informed independent actor. I hope you all understand Smiley

No worries Smiley

Knowing Dereich and Lumine,
I wouldn't be surprised if both these testaments have been forged Wink

Thanks Smiley  I mean, I’m Sardinia-Piedmont, I’m probably not going to “win” the game in the conventional sense.  That means I’ve gotta be a bit creative about finding ways to have fun with this and I feel like this was necessary to stop a trend towards predictable/generic constitutional monarchies in the endgame.  Plus, there’s a nice irony to a Jew playing a fanatical Catholic from 1700s Europe Tongue

Sorry for more PMs, Spamage. I didn't notice the dealine and didn't want to leave things unsaid.

No problem at all.

Everyone can feel free to keep up the PMs, the turn still has quite some time left Smiley

Good, because I have an important speech coming...

Oh my. That's six monarchs (ruling or not) dead in three years.

And another one gone, and another one gone,
another one bites the dust...

Too few, if you ask me Tongue

X, seriously, your entries are just pure gold.

Someone has to defend the faith; I wonder if all this talk of secret Satanist infiltration will start a red scare Tongue

Well damn Charles III is dead. If Spain is open now I'd be willing to play as them.

Lol.  Anyway, the way these have always worked (IIRC) is that when someone dies, new players have a chance to join first as the newly open country.  So in this case, you'd probably have to pick a different country, LouisvilleThunder.  Naples and Georgia are open though, I think.  Would either of those interest you?

No. Spamage PMed me saying that I inherited Charles IV as Spain. So I guess Lumine is right.
Isn't the rule that players can continue playing as their country if their monarch died? I could be wrong, but I certainly don't recall old players having to immediately switch.

My understanding was that old players only inherited the country if no one new was interested (and Not_Madigan only just indicated his interest).  Maybe Spamage could make a post clarifying things.

Have sent parts of my orders (just so I had something done) but there's still more I want to post both orders wise, and publicly.

I feel guilty for asking, but I would appreciate an extension until Tomorrow so I can finish it all.

Severe device availability difficulties and resulting feuds with siblings.
I ask for a delay till midday tomorrow, please.

Considering there is a general concensus for the turn to be delayed (X has requested until tomorrow too), I will consent to extend the turn an additional 24 hours. Generally I'm hesitant to do so, but I'll make an exception in this circumstance.

So I got my orders in Tongue  Having said that, it might be worth suggesting what you did to me and seeing if that works for Blair and Tim.
