Amendment to the amendment passes. 2-2 with the Vice President breaking the tie at 3-2.

Speaking as a private citizen whose faith forbids him from taking another human life, I am most definitely not okay with declaring the right to bear arms to be ordained by God in the Constitution, even if I don't think the original amendment is a good solution within an Atlasian context.

I think we need an amendment to this amendment.

Motion to table.

Normally I wouldn't do it, but the passed amendment is so ridiculously unnecessary the current wording works just fine if that's the principle that is to prevail.

I like this part if the Constitution the way it is. I don't think either change is necessary. Mr. R's amendment was better than a repeal fwiw.

Aye. However, it is a shame that we can't have a proper debate on the issue because of the rather ridiculous way in which is this is being handled by some who are a bit too attached to some seemingly outdated beliefs.

Don't be too hard on yourself. I do agree it was ridiculous to oppose my amendment based on the outdated belief that our rights do not come from God, but on the bright side the awful attempt to repeal the right to keep and bear arms is dead.

With 5 votes, bill is tabled.
