The opening match between Russia and Saudi Arabia will be held at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on Thursday, June 14.
The final game is scheduled to take place at the same stadium on Sunday, 15 July.

Interestingly, Brazil and Germany can only encounter either in the last sixteen or in the final.

Those two teams also played against each other in the Olympic final. Even though the Olympic games took place in Brazil with its harsh climatic conditions, and even though Germany attended the game with its B-team (unlike the home side), we only lost on penalties and therefore won the silver medal. (Their female colleagues won gold btw, the last time they would win anything...)

The last clash between the two teams happened in Berlin in March, where Brazil won.  Unamused

Brazil. Spain will cuck Germany out in the semis but Brazil will beat Spain pretty easily. The real final will be the Brazil vs France semifinal Smiley.

Apparently I was one of the four people who voted France. I probably voted before seeing Belgium playing and before I started to think they were going to win.
