If Clinton had campaigned like she did in '08, she would have lost the nomination to Sanders or some other progressive.

The question is specifically referring to the general election, and assumes Clinton's already won the nomination.

That said, you're probably right.

If she’s already won the nomination when she makes the shift, then absolutely she will win the GE.
