Could Ottawa slap the Trump Organization with trade sanctions?

If Canada is going to retaliate, it's only fair that they target the Orange Clown's Organization of corrupt corporations first and foremost.
Same with China, the EU, Mexico, etc.

It will be really interesting to see a global RICO-like thing happening to Trump.

This is definitely the smart way for other countries to retaliate against Trump.

However, if they want to be REALLY smart, they should impose extra sanctions not just against the Trump organization, but also against Russia. Targeting Russia will get Trump's attention like nothing else, and probably has a better chance to get him to back off than anything else.

Well, there's Russia and probably other groups ancillary to the Trump Org, too.

It's click bait. Freeland didn't say she is considering that. She's merely saying she welcomes all suggestions to retaliate in response to an MP's specific reference to a political pundits article.

Given that he doesn't actually care about this country, I think this is probably about the only way to change his behavior.

Assuming that Trump gets indicted or impeached, does President Mike Pence become the savior of NATO and the west and immediately ends the tariffs? He would also probably let the tough Russian sanctions passed by Congress take effect as well. He would be hated by Liberals in the US but seen as a sort of savior of Liberal democracy in the West.

Mike Pence is a phony who's spent his whole life faking piety for political gain. If pretending to care about NATO will give him political gain then he'll go along with it. He's as much of a phony as Trump in this regard
