I wouldn't be surprised if this would be the final nail in the coffin of the VA GOP. Maybe I'm overreacting, but nominating a candidate like Stewart just as the State is in the middle of a massive backlash against the Republican President and demographic headwinds favor the Democrats could really cost them their control of legislative majorities for the years to come.

They deserve that fate. If only this would translate nationally.
