South Carolina. Hawaii is just too far away from everything.

Now?  South Carolina.  If I could have controlled where I had always lived?  Hawaii!

South Carolina winters are lovely.  I might be moving to Hawaii in the not-so-distant future, however.

Hawaii, the Sunbelt. CA, CO, HI, NV, FL, and AZ, the cost of living is increasing. Due to the fact, fewer job opportunities in the Midwest.

Ideally neither (both would be HPs for climate), but I'd pick South Carolina over Hawaii.

Lean Hawaii because I prefer the climate and politics to those of South Carolina.

Hawaii but not really due to its isolation. Nice climate, beaches, and women. On the downside, it's an expensive place to live but if and when I graduate from college, Hawaii is probably up there along with the Inland Empire and Arizona in realistic places I'd look for a job.

Hawaii, easily. It's a lot like Puerto Rico, but it's residents aren't treated as second-class citizens, for the most part.
