This endorsement is a bigger deal, unfortunately (although there are other districts where it’d be more problematic).  I really hope we don’t blow this race, especially since while Fitzpatrick is never gonna be easy to unseat, this is a seat where a decent Democratic incumbent could definitely get entrenched after a few election cycles without a Republican wave.

Wow, I know AFL-CIO is more conservative than SEIU, but endorsing a Republican in a high-profile race like this must be almost unheard of.

Yes he donated to BDS for years and had to backtrack when he ran for office

He’s a carpetbagging megamillionaire who recently moved back from South Africa, running in working-class Bucks county. He’s just not a good fit for organized labour or his district.

I think he explained it pretty well. And in any case, the fact that he's backtracking is good- Ilhan Omar, for example, is not backtracking on her blood libel, so she's obviously antisemitic. Calling Wallace one seems quite ridiculous.

I still think Wallace still wins but solely because of Trump and the lopsided senate/governor races

Also he's going to be able to pump a lot of his own money into this race.

Just going to say ahead of time that this isn't a thread to debate what BDS is or whether or not it should be repudiated. We've had enough arguments about them already.

Ah yes, the cliche Pro-labor PA Republican Congress member.

There used to be a lot more where that came from.

Gabby Giffords also endorsed Wallace.

God, I hope Bucks County Commissioner Diane Marseglia challenges Fitzpatrick in 2020. PA-01 deserves a much better Democratic nominee than Wallace.

Anti Israel≠Anti Semitic, don't let them pressure you with that garbage. Stand your ground, don't get distracted with that attempted diversion, and keep on with your beliefs.

Yeah, its a suburban seat outside Philly. I dont understand why every suburban seat is called "working class". It was the same with Lipinski, it was the same with GA-06 with some posters here, even some people are saying Paul Ryan's seat is "working class". The only seat that is working class that we've had an election about is PA-18

"Working class" is a meaningless antiquated buzzword anyway. I'm pretty sure every district that doesn't have a majority of unemployed and/or retired people is "working class." I also find it quite interesting how the monicker only ever seems to apply to good hard workin white folk.

Am I a hack for thinking Wallace will still win due to the environment and Casey?
