Also all the people saying it wont make a difference yes while repubs will still overwhelming break for Laxalt independents are likely to break overwhelmingly for sisolak if these stories are credible

Republicans largely don't see raping/sexual assault as disqualifying for office. A small number of R-leaning independents might get cold feet but this won't move a meaningful number of actual Republicans.

The fact that his grandfather was a political figure shows that Laxalt grew up in an upper class political household which makes him far more likely to commit and get away with crimes.
