Is there enough time for someone to get on the list for a write-in campaign? I know there's not enough time for it to be effective, but I could see someone wanting to put themselves forward even though it wouldn't be very effective.

Sisolak was already going to win. This won't make a difference. 90%+ of Republicans will still happily vote for Laxalt (see sig.)

Maybe this will sway 1-2% of undecided voters/independents toward Sisolak if it sticks, but it's not going to change much. Likely D -> Likely D. Watch Republicans try to make the "innocent until proven guilty" argument here.

If this hurts his support from Republicans at all, it will be because they now see him as being too close to Bill Clinton.

On the other hand it brings him closer to dear leader as well. Oh, the struggle!

Also all the people saying it wont make a difference yes while repubs will still overwhelming break for Laxalt independents are likely to break overwhelmingly for sisolak if these stories are credible

That's ok, the Senate can approve him anyway--Oh, wait. This is an election, so Republican politicians can't push him through as Governor. It's up to the voters.

Nothing changes. Moore didn't lose because of the allegations, he lost because he decided he could just high-tail it to Pennsylvania, come back 1 day before and ride sassy to the polls, all while Jones actually campaigned.

Laxalt is not that arrogant.

Nevada is also not Alabama. It is less polarized than Alabama and far, far more Democratic.

I do think that Laxalt would lose anyway given that he's doing worse than Dean Heller in the polls, and you know how I feel about Dean Heller's chances as it is.

The vast majority of "independents" are just partisan hacks in denial. 43% of "independents" in Alabama voted for the theocratic pedophile, lol.

Moving this from all the way from Strong Lean R to Likely D. Stop comparing Nevada to Alabama, there is a big difference between an R+14 state and a state that actually has a democratic pvi of D+1 lmao.

I really don't care if the source is credible. Laxalt needs to do the right thing and suspend his campaign.

The difference between Alabama and Nevada is that this race never was "Lean R", lol. It was and remains Likely D.

How much do you want to bet that if this gains the slightest bit of traction, it will be used to explain away Gov. Sisolak and Sen. Rosen. "They ONLY won because Laxalt is a rapist, otherwise he and Heller would've had it in the bag! NV is still lean R in 2020 imo tbh imho!"

Of course, just like the *only* reason that Would-be Senator Heck lost is because he didn't fully embrace Trump. Roll Eyes
