With the general primary all but decided, I'm definitely rooting for Jones to win the special primary just so she's a congressperson for six weeks. It's called pulling a Curson.

Would be interesting to see if she even gets sworn in for that month-and-a-half term.

Welder is toast, Sharice Davids is doing too well among election day voters. A lot of Niermann voters must've jumped ship when they saw that it was a Welder vs. Davids battle.

This is correct.  It's gonna take dawn til JoCo finishes reporting but Davids will win.

Anyone know if Matt Morgan's write-in campaign was successful?

The tie is broken, Jones is now leading in the special primary while trailing (by 3,500 votes) in the general primary.

The general primary has been called for Tlaib. The special primary is still uncalled.

Anyone know if Matt Morgan's write-in campaign was successful?

1ST DISTRICT: U.S. Rep. Jack Bergman, R-Watersmeet, was running unopposed in his party's primary. On the Democratic side, Matt Morgan failed to make the party ticket and was trying to win a write-in bid. (We won't know whether he does so until all the votes are counted: To get the nomination, he'll need to get a number of write-in votes equal to at least 5 percent of the total number of the top Democratic vote-getter — regardless of the office he or she is running for — in the district.)

I guess it means she'd win the majority support from the candidates who were only in the general race.

Also, why is Ron Estes running against Ron Estes in KS-4 according to NYT?

Representative (Congressman) Ron Estes is running against Ron M. Estes who bills himself as 'the real Ron Estes.'

It's too bad he didn't win.  It's not often that a Republican with a decent sense of humor comes along.

Looks like Sharice Davids should win KS-03’s Democratic primary. She’s done extremely well in the Election Day vote. She carried the JoCo early vote by about 4, but is winning the election day vote by 13.5% from my math.

With all of Johnson County in, Sharice Davids won 37.3-33.9 or by about 2,000 votes.

Cook has moved both KS-02 and KS-03 to Toss Up. Democrats got a candidate without known baggage in KS-03 and Republicans got blah in KS-02.

With 100% of the vote reporting, Sharice Davids has won the KS-03 Democratic primary by a 37-34 margin over Brent Welder. Looks like Emily’s List’s $700,000 investment paid off.
