Ridiculous how D state Dems roll over and accept Republican governors but R state Republicans can't stomach even moderates like JBE.

This poll is worrying, but there's still quite a while to go. Lots of things could happen in the next 18 months.

Unsure why this is getting a bump but, Kennedy has wanted to be a Senator for a long time considering he ran in 2004 and 2008 before 2016. I don't know why he would give up his Senate seat to run for governor of Louisiana in the middle of his first term.

Kennedy strikes me as the kind of guy that hates Washington. It's not likely but if anyone would do it it's him.

If so - why run for Senate at all?Huh?

I mean, some people go to Washington with grand aspirations before they find out how disgusting politicking is.

Louisiana consistently polls as very upbeat on Trump.  Odd year turnout, moderation, and personal popularity will help him, but I still expect JBE to have a close race if a high profile R runs.

If Kennedy jumps in Edwards is probably done, so he might as well change to his vacated senate seat lol. Doubt Kennedy does this though.

I dont know why everyone thinks Kennedy will go for the governorship. It would be a stupid move. Going from 1/2 way into his first term in a position he can keep for life to a governorship that he can only have for 8 years. Of course, Collins was going to do the same thing, but she was 20 years into her career, Kennedy is only 2 years into his.

Maybe Kennedy really hates DC, but I doubt he will go for it.
