Abortion and Guns where do you stand?

Anyone who wants to talk about "the disaster that would happen if abortion was made illegal" and mentions back alley abortions miss the fact that the government is not responsible for other people's stupidity. Why should the government be liable for someone willing going through a procedure which never (or very rarely) has any possible positive outcomes? And that is whether abortion is legal or illegal.

While abortion only poses a danger to the mother and the child, guns can pose a danger to anyone. But guns can have both positive and negative out comes. And those who are responsible enough to use guns should have the right to do so, while those who do not shouldn't.

I support a ban on some guns (and of course support keeping abortions legal), so I voted Option 3.

That is a task for law enforcement, enforcing laws on the books banning felons from possessing guns. You can't legislate what people do, only what they can do.

Well, since that person supported abortion, the pro-death freaks should have nothing to complain about, because, in their POV, I should only be charged for murdering/maiming the individual (woman), not the unborn child because the woman was intending to abort it anyways.

I hate guns, women need abortion as a possible last resort. Despite pro-lifers stupid theory, not every baby can get adopted, many will end up miserable in orphanges and abusive foster homes. Thats not to say that abortion is desirable.

Guns-Bad     But they are part of the Bill of Rights and I respect that, they're never going away, since if Liberals repeal Amendment 2, the far right might repeal Amendment 1, and that would suck so bad.

ok so, If you are not trained with a melee weapon (sword/staff) and someone breaks into your house. What do you do? Do you run for cover? do you lock yourself in the closet and hope the perpetrator is not armed?

Most likely, people like you, who believe that guns should be availabvle only to the government, would be regretting your opinions and for listening to the media and the do-righters. They (pro-death / anti gun whackos) will pay the ultimate price for their ignorance and gullibility.

It's really simple.  Make abortions legal only in cases of rape, incest, and threat to the mothers health.  That removes abortion-on-demand as a form of birth control, especially since there are enough morning-after pills available these days which will work for a week after conseption. 

But then again, this goes back to people taking responsibility for their actions.  If you want to have sex, expect to get pregnant.  If you don't want to get pregnant, don't have sex.  If you do get pregnant and don't see a doctor for a morning-after pill, then you failed in your responsibility to avoid pregnancy and now you have to be responsible for bring the child to term.  If you want to put it up for adoption, that's great.  If you want to raise the child yourself, even better.  But you have no room to complain for the failure of your initial responsibility.  There are so many people out there that are trying and failing to have kids of their own.  How dare you treat the life of the unborn so carelessly?
