Honestly, it's not too surprising considering that all Black does in her ads is rant about immigrants and Obama; TN isn't really the state for that.
I forget, but isn't there a run-off if no candidate hits 30%?
For those that remember--for the 1974 TN Democratic gubernatorial primary, Ray Blanton won with just 22% of the vote and went on to win in November.
Eventually, the corruption of his administration forced Blanton out of office early--including the selling of pardons. Doesn't seem too dissimilar to what we are facing today, does it?
