Wedding I went to in April had the groom in a kilt.

I can top that. At my brother's second wedding the groom and all the groomsmen - including me, the best man - wore kilts and for that matter full traditional Scottish Regalia. Notable, but not particularly out-of-place in the mixed Buddhist-Wiccan wedding held in a Catholic school chapel with a screen pulled over the saints on the back wall. And there were swords they stepped over I had to place down and pick up, complete with popping joints. Stressful for me, but in retrospect a hell of an interesting event. Smiley

Oh, I almost forgot about the tea ceremony that was also part of it. Smiley

This is the problem when you emphasize equality rather than freedom. Telling everyone exactly what to do is an equally valid solution to inequality as letting everyone do what they want. The emphasis should have been that it's wrong to force someone to wear a particular article of clothing because of what their gender is. Then the solution would have been clear.
