So most of the reasons for this bill are outlined in Section 3, but in a nutshell, the collection of shark fins is terrible for marine ecosystems as most shark populations are rapidly declining, and there's no reason for it as shark fins have been proven to hold no nutritional or medicinal value. It also sends a message to the international community that this practice needs to end.

So, considering that this bill has been on the floor since the 9th, and not really much debate has gone on outside of my speaking on this bill and a couple Representatives coming out in support, I'm going to go ahead and motion for a final vote.
