This is a bill to protect pilots and airline passengers. Much of the pilot stuff was adopted in real life in 2014 and 2016, but since Atlasia was on-going then we need to do it too.

Section II ratifies the medical certification guidelines Congress adopted IRL for non-commercial pilots who are basically hobbyists flying small planes. It does not subject them to as burdensome requirements as commercial pilots or pilots flying bigger, more dangerous aircraft.

Section III ratifies the administrative process reforms Congress adopted IRL regarding FAA pilot license suspensions to ensure that the process is fair, orderly, and not arbitrary.

Section IV limits prolonged tarmac delays (waiting to take off) and sets minimum requirements for what airlines must provide to passengers during such delays.

Sections V 1-3 authorize the NTSB to draft regulations on specific cockpit safety recommendations to prevent skyjackings.

Section V 4 protects the 4th Amendment rights of pilots from unnecessary, intrusive snooping.

Section V 5 prevents airworthy hobbyist planes from being grounded due to safe modifications.

Section V 6 increases the pool of available commercial pilots.

Section V 7 allows you to be on Atlas while on a commercial flight.

Section V 8 eliminates an unnecessary licensing regime for hobbyist rocket enthusiasts.

>Section V-7

FREEDOM FOR LAPTOPS!!!!

Anyway, I think this legislation is rather good, and I'll support it.  If anyone has any objections to bringing it to a final vote I'll give y'all 24 hours, but I believe it's just adapting the IRL rules to Atlasia for the most part.

Yeah. The only stuff that has never been done IRL is in Section V.

Sen. Isakson in OK is a pilot and the FAA tried to ground him a few years back so he pushed through a lot of reforms in the past few years.

A final vote is now open on this bill for 72 hours or until everyone votes, whichever occurs sooner.
