Wow this thread is passive aggressive and petty. IMO the only bannable offenses should be doxxing, explicit hate speech and child pornography. If you're that confident in the strength of your ideals, there shouldn't be a reason to silence your ideological opponents.

Rather than aggressive and petty, I think the thread itself is informative, inasmuch as it gives us insight into what people are thinking. I agree that some of the comments in this thread do not tend to promote constructive engagement with each other over ideas.

I agree 100% with the rest of your comment (unless there's really, really something that I'm missing). In particular, I would not ban Beet or Calthrina950; I think Calthrina950 in particular is one of the most thoughtful posters on here, which is particularly impressive given his age.

Perhaps my view of some of the posts in this thread is overly cynical, or my interpretation of too many posts is incorrect and/or out of line with the poster's intent. I'm reading a decent number of these here as an indirect attack on posters that have recently irritated another and, frankly, that isn't reason enough to call for a ban. Nor is most of the things that result in "Ban XYZ poster" threads, but I digress. Agree on Calth. Really quality poster and seems like a genuinely pleasant person.
