I would say Yes after today’s 6 and a half hour match


Only difference instead of tie breaker happening after a 6-6 score you can increase it to like 14-14

Yes, as not having a tiebreak eliminated any chance Kevin Anderson had of beating Nadal or Djokovic.

For that matter, look at Wimbledon 2010.

If the Isner/Mahut match had a tiebreak, Isner, had he won, probably would have gotten to at least the fourth round to face Rafael Nadal.

Tiebreaks only exist to keep from having very long matches that play havoc with TV. However, without them, it gives evenly matched players an incentive to take more chances so to avoid being stick in a long match that would tire them out for their next opponent.
