Of course not.

But what is the definition of being a nazi in 2018. Do most "nazi's" identify as nazi's, and how many people even identify as nazi. Some might identify as white supremacist, but few people would openly call theirselves nazi's. When the NSDAP took power in 1933, most people who voted for them weren't nazi's or weren't evil, just simply ignorant or disappointed with the way things were going (while voting NSDAP wasn't the answer), but some of them might have underestimated what NSDAP would later do and regret their vote later on. Of course, what happened back than, happened than. It's no guarantee it would ever happen again. Trump is a populist but IMO less right-wing than most other Republicans.

I agree that a significant minority of trump supporters are alt-right and hold less than savory racial / gender views though. I partly blame it on the increased polarization of politics (-> becoming too partisan) and on the ignorance / inability of current politicians to deal with issues and problems. It doesn't happen only in America, but it happens everywhere. A good example of all of this is the Kavanaugh vote.

Actual literal Nazis of course not, and such exaggerated rhetoric is bad for the cause.

It is true that
1) a signifcant minority of trump supporters are alt-right or hold less than savory racial/gender views
2) neo Nazis were much more supportive of trump than they usually are of Republican candidates
3) a significant minority of trump supporters have dangerously authoritarian psychologies

We will go with this. Maybe Trump's Republican Party isn't a fascist organization but it does have an established fascist wing.

The truth is "less than savory", according to the left.

I definitely would never go as far as to say all Republicans or all supporters of Trump think one way or the other.  I don't think they are all Nazis.  I don't think they all have posters of Hitler.

However, they seem pretty damn naive about the influence and toxicity of the elements of the far right like the mass shooting that happened today, the Charlottesville march, the Proud Boys, etc. etc. etc. .  Yeah, they won't shut the hell up about ANTIFA but will act dumb when you bring up Proud Boys putting activists into the hospital:

https://www.gaystarnews.com/article/proud-boys-gavin-mcinnes-arrested-assault-nyc/

Like I said to someone on the other side: it's a two way street.  You can't pretend in this day and age that only "loudmouth" progressive activists are responsible for the degeneration of political discourse.  It's something that's been going on for a long time.  The current generation of people are just growing up fighting the way they were taught by people they now oppose.  It's a very vicious cycle.

What are you going to do to break it?  Just sit back in your chair, make fun of everyone, have a few beers and watch some good ole WcW?  WHOOOOOOOOOO!  Or are you going to break out of it, demand accountability from officeholders and other people in your party, and remain above the partisan fray?

Only time will tell.

That's too far. If there's one word to describe some of them, It would be crazy. Just like some liberals are crazy.

No, it's a minority, but they'd all go along with it without even lifting a finger if the party did go full Nazi, it's in their nature as long as Fox News and other conservative news tell them "the Democrats oppose it".

These are just ironic Roman salutes.

As a Trump man but more a conventional Reagan Republican, do not support Nazis and neither do most of my party brethren, despite what the Left thinks. This caricature of what Republicans think is ridiculously out of touch with the fact the GOP has a broad range of views and we're not all goose stepping fascists.

The actions of your fellow Republicans in Wisconsin, Michigan, and other states who have displayed a contempt for the democratic process when faced with Democratic electoral success would suggest otherwise.

Not all Trump supporters are Nazi's.

Nazi = national socialist, and as we all know, Trump lovers hate the world socialism. Therefore they can't be Nazi's.
