Capuano isn't going to be caught flat-footed like Crowley was and the district hasn't moved nearly as much demographically as that one did.

Gut says Capuano, but Pressley could pull off an upset. I'd rate it lean Capuano right now.

This district is going to Capuano. Unlike in NY, these elections have pretty average turnout, Capuano is a rather progressive incumbent. Pressley is only a bit more progressive, and even then, its more on social issues than economic. While there was a clear contrast between the old, white, living in VA congressman, Capuano is rather popular and knowledgeable of his district. Pressley has no real advantage that she can pounce on, this challenge was known to Capuano before, the election of OC has gotten rid of her surprise, and MA has decent turnout, so her more vocal supporters cannot overwhelm the polls. One of the only things she can highlight to diffrentiate herself is risky, who she is, an identity politics route, and that is dangerous. this is lean C at this moment, closer to likely than tossup.

Personally, I dont know why we are focusing on Capunao, he is a good congressman. If anyone deserves a primary challenge, its Stephen Lynch and Seth Moulton. Not Capuano.

A slight tilt towards Capuano based on a recent public poll that had him at 48, but it's going to be close, the likely voter model could be off. Given the endorsements Pressley has been getting, I wonder if there is some inside info we don't know.

Does anyone actually think Capuano is conservative?
