The state-by-state election laws are messy as heck.

We actually need a constitutional amendment to set national standards for presidential elections:

- Make election day a national holiday (or make Saturday or Sunday election day)
- Have all polls open from 8 am. local time to 7 pm. local time
- Automatic voter registration
- Allow early voting/ballots by mail under standards set nationally
