These are the kind of folks that only seem to know how call me a religious hypocrite or an a-hole when they respond to me, or lambaste me for positions that I actually haven't taken.  They're a group that don't want to be confused with facts.  And there are a few in that group who have slandered me to the point where if this were the real world, with real names thrown about, I could sue them for libel and win.

They differ from some folks like Devout Centrist, HagridOfTheDeep, and a few others who can be pompous elitists, but they at least put thought into what they do.  They don't respond with "Thanks for the sermon.  Now shove it." as some have, nor do they particularly call me names.  (I've actually been harder on HagridOfTheDeep on a personal level than he's been on me, in all fairness.)  I can respect people like this; while they wouldn't be my top choice to hang with, there's at least a serious basis for discussion with them.  (Badger USED to be in this category, but nowadays it seems like ProudModerate2 sneezed on him and he caught snarkatitis via airborne pathogens.  Perhaps there's hope for a cure.)

There are many posters on here who are my least favorite. They are, in no particular order:

These people have a tendency to engage in ad hominem attacks, to disregard, ignore, or distort the opinions of those who disagree with them, to make snide or downright rude remarks, to use profanity, and to say things that are way beyond the pale. This forum, I believe, was created for those people who have serious interest in politics and in the policy issues affecting our country, and I'm not sure if the people on this list possess that degree of commitment. If they cut back on the attacks, and focused on rebutting their opponents with facts and not emotions, then I would have no problem conversing with them.
