These are better right?

We got a safe one for Terri Sewell at D +17, and a pretty much a safe district barring a 2010 wave for someone like Vivian Figures at almost D +7. Also the county cuts are much more minimal this time.

Ps. I know there is a non colored precinct in Monroe co but you get the idea.

Where does Sewell live? Wikipedia is a bit vague; sounds like she has a lot of personal connections to Selma but doesn't say she lives there now.

I think Selma but I'm not sure.

In the picture yes. It has not been colored, but if it was it would just be connected to Baldwin and spread across the rural counties until population is achieved, and that would be Byrne's new CD.

Definitely a big improvement on your previous attempt, and both districts are Black-majority.
However in Mobile and Birmingham the lines still need improvement, especially Birmingham.
Because my computer is currently running California I can't open Alabama, so instead from Dailykos:

I dislike the idea of southern Mobile County being cut off without a road connection. Perhaps the Montgomery seat could gain Henry County while giving the bare minimum needed to link the two non-contiguous portions of AL-01.
