Portland, OR City Hall, - Hello to all Citizens of Fremont!

Today, it is my great pleasure to announce my candidacy for the Parliament of Fremont. I am proud to live in this beautiful, diverse region - from awe inspiring mountain ranges, green fertile pastures as far as the eye can see, scenic deserts and stunning lakes and rivers, there is truly no place on earth like Fremont. If we are going to continue to move our home forward however; we need real, Progressive leadership in Denver that will represent all Fremonters, not just the few, and that's exactly what I intend to do.

• Health Care, - Healthcare should be regarded as a human right, not a commodity to be bought and sold. Every citizen of Fremont should have access to publicly funded, universal health care no matter their employment or situation in life. If the rest of the world can do it, so can we.
• Environment & Climate Change, - The environment will be a number one priority of mine, - as without a clean environment, we have no planet to live on. I will push to expand current subsidies for clean energy introducing a bill for a new 'Apollo Program' of clean energy that will make Fremont the center for renewable and sustainable energy in Atlasia. We will set a goal of completely eliminating fossil fuels by 2040, and increasing the carbon tax to fund these initiatives.
• Infrastructure & Transportation, - A big part of taking care of the environment will be convincing people to utilize more efficient means of transportation. To this end, I will push for the major expansion of public transportation systems in our metro areas (Light Rail for intra-city travel, High Speed Rail between Metro Areas) as well as offering more rural communities grants to encourage car pooling and subsidized low-emissions bus systems with free tickets for students and the elderly. Funding for highways and new pollution causing means of transportation should be diverted.
• Clean & Fair Elections, - Money should not equal power when it comes to electing public officials. I will push for strong new clean election laws for Fremont, - including requiring officials running for public office to accept government grants, barring corporate money in our elections and giving every citizen a $50 tax deductible credit that can be donated to a candidate or political party of their choice to encourage citizen participation. All citizens of Fremont should be automatically registered to vote upon turning 18. Consider lowering the age to vote in Primaries and local elections to 16 in order to encourage civic participation.
• Keeping Our Citizens Safe (Gun Control), - This is plain and simple. Honest Fremonter's shouldn't be kept from hunting, enjoying their leisure actives or defending their homes, - but we also have a right to go about our day to day lives not worrying about gun violence. This epidemic of gun violence must cease. I will support a ban on all Automatic and Semi-Automatic weapons, as well as a drastic reduction in clip sizes and ammo available for sale for handguns. Local communities should retain the right to ban handguns and other weapons as they see fit. Anyone looking to purchase a fire arm should have to undergo a mandatory background check, safety course and psychological evaluation before being sold one.
• Tackling Discrimination, Protecting our LGBTQ+ and Minority Citizens, - I will push for the creation of a special task force to combat hate crimes and discrimination in Fremont under the auspicies of the Minister of Justice. Furthermore, I will push to codify an Anti-Discrimination amendment to our constitution that will protect all citizens of Fremont regardless of race, age, gender, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity.
• Criminal Justice Reform, - I believes in ending mass incarceration and the war on drugs, and closing the school-to-prison pipeline. I will support the legalization of many common drugs as well as the decriminalization of hard core drugs, punishing distributors instead of users and funding further rehabilitation programs. No one should go to jail for using a drug. I will also push for an automatic and independent investigations each & every time an individual is killed by law enforcement. For profit prisons should be abolished, - no one should make money off our justice system.

I mean, if we're going to reflexively oppose a candidate who (a) announced before the polls opened and (b) is running an active, public campaign because "oh no write-ins are bad," that strikes me as very silly. But of course, overreacting to minor controversies is the Atlasian way!

I mean I’ll probably vote for him if he runs a write in campaign just kinda amazing we have another write in situation on our hands, even. if this time, it’s a quite serious candidate on the surface.

Barred by election law the candidate has called 'bureaucratic' and 'stifling to public discourse' in the race for Fremont parlimeant, Portland City Commissioner iBizzBee has rebranded her campaign for parliament out of the gate as a write-in candidate. "Regardless of the results of this election, - the people of Fremont deserve a choice, and I intend to give them one".

(( And so I shall, ha. Still getting used to all the rules and such, this should be fun though. ( ; ))

In regards to the civil war I seem to have found myself in the middle of, - I'm hoping to work with Progressives and Socialists of all shades on the Left to make Fremont the most Progressive beacon in Atlasia.

I'll be focused domestically now... If I ever end up in national politics though, who knows. ( ;

... As an idea... Can we all hug it out? Is that an option?
