Hooray! Ding-Dong, the witch is dead!

Well, I actually highly doubt it -- but I wouldn't shed a tear if this vile organization with blood on its hands had to close up shop.

Finally they are going down. For a more stringent and not politically charged organization, more supportive of lax gun rights, look up the Second Amendment Foundation. It is more based on aiding consumers then political campaigning.

Hopefully they go back to being a gun safety organization that pushes against the far left gun control measures but I doubt it.

Amusingly, an NRA bankruptcy would be excellent for the far more extreme Gun Owners of America.

The NRA will be fine. They have millions of members who pay not only for the benefits but because they are politically invested in the organization and are glad to give money, gun sales are still twice what they were in the Bush years, the gun confiscation movement is failing to win over popular opinion among young people, and a much more friendly Court is on its way that will strike down more needless laws.

You obviously didn't even skim the article, because if you did you'd find that the reason they are in trouble is that they "cannot access financial services essential" and they "lost insurance coverage — endangering day-to-day operations," not because a reduction in sales. This is because of the good work of the state of New York and the successes they've had to make sure that no one in the financial sphere is willing to due business with these merchants of death.

Good, people that actually care about gun rights should support the GOA.

Hopefully the state of New York does the same to them too.

In that case, why don't they just move to Indianapolis or Oklahoma City? Both are in solid red states and even the Democrats in those states are relatively pro-gun

So they get all this money from Russia and now they say they have problems? What did they spend it on?

So denying a group equal protection under the law is wonderful, so long as the group is an advocate for policies with which I disagree?

If the group in question promotes domestic terrorism like the NRA does, then yes.

In spite of this sentiment, they will probably just crawl back to Russia and beg them for more money and support. They aren't going anywhere any time soon.

Who's denying equal protection? Where does it say that financial services and insurance companies have to do business with groups they disagree with? This is the free market at work.
