Section 5 essentially makes the bill moot. If a kid doesn’t want to do it, he’ll just have his parents write a note. In the majority of schools that already require PE, this would decrease participation if anything.

I agree with the spirit of the bill, but can we get more of an understanding from the sponsor on why he thinks this is something that should be mandated regionally, rather than allow the decision to be made locally?

Perhaps maybe it take affect next year and we attatch funding to it?
I think we move it to July 1, 2019, I would say use current education budget rather than allocate more funds.
