Extrapolating from current trends since the 90s, it definitely looks like it. Will current trends be sustained?
Until we reach a crescendo, it will get worse and worse. Thing is, we don't know when the crescendo will hit, or even if it has already hit.

Dems will win the majority back, at some point, Leader McConnell has been a thorn in the Democrats side. Democrats will be willing to work with Leader Cornyn or Leader Thune, whenever McConnell leaves office, and hopefully in defeat against Grimes in 2020.

Naturally. The only way it might not is if the Great Depression 2.0 hits in 2021 or something and the Democratic majorities are so big they'll basically be trampled on. And even then, 2009/10.....

Pretty much no matter who the Democrats Republicans choose, the Republicans Democrats will become hysterical and there will be conspiracy theories about them being the anti-Christ, allegations of “Socialism,” Nazism and the GOP Democrats in Congress dead-set on trying to destroy their Presidency (no matter the cost to the country). All of those are absolute guarantees.

I guess you forgot about when Congressional Democrats helped pass the Reagan/Dubya agenda.

The TARP funds was Dubya's agenda, and then the GOP got political with it and used it against the Democrats in 2010.  The GOP needs to be a pro-growth party, not just the shrinkage of gov't.  Dems are willing to work across the aisle should Pelosi become Speaker, in attaching a pro-growth agenda with the Corporate Tax Cuts, by closing corporate loopholes and raising the minimum wage.
