The university didn't endorse her.  A student editorial endorsing her was published.

Still, Hillsdale is pretty crazy-- it doesn't accept any students who themselves accept federal aid for college. (Unsurprisingly, this results in an almost entire white, almost entirely upper-middle class student body).

So for these students to endorse Whitmer-- perhaps the most surefire group of Gen Zers in Michigan to vote Republican-- is a terrible sign for Schuette.
