Of course, just like California goes Dem despite the fact that the only Californians here are Reps.

Why? Or do you mean in the "reallife" election maps we're doing?
Yeah, the real life maps.

I have not been here for about a month. I missed the dem fantasy primaries. But I will get to the point. I am here to announce my endorsement of Nym90 for president. I would like to support him were ever it is needed.

Thankyou,

Jtf, get over to the register thread and register to vote! All you need to do is post on the thread and say you register, but you need to do it before Jan 19th, or you wont be allowed to vote! We're trailing the Reps by 1 vote among registered voters, we need every vote we can get! Smiley

Also, are we going to draw up a platform? If so, I would like a seat on the platform committee.

No idea. Talk to the chairman... Smiley

We don't want any wacky socialist ideas on that platform though, mind you! Smiley

Thanks for your support, though I doubt whether it will strengthen my internal support.... Wink

It would be like if Migrendel supported you...

Migrendel is leftist enough to be considered leftist even in Sweden, which is saying a lot... Smiley

I wouldn't go as far as hating it, but I certainly disapprove of it.

The only things I hate are Hitler and the Yankees. Smiley

It was nice when Clemens signed with Houston this week...and Steinbrenner's dumb remarks...a great week to be a Mets fan.

There you go with your weird sports again... *sigh* Wink

I seldom hate things, neither. It would people like Stalin and Hitler. I do dislike a lot of things though, but I wont rant about them here and now.... Wink

I would strongly advise one, and presumably there will be other people on the committee. So if I go too far, you can always vote my proposals down. Also, PD I don't know if you have the same kind of experience with Socialist governance that I have. On top of having visited France, the Netherlands, and Scandinavia, I've lived in Cambridge for five years.

Well, we are good at curling...but it's mostly a Canadian sport. It's pretty fun actually, though I've only played it a couple of times. We do mainstream sports like Hockey, football, tennis and golf. But we've been through that before...

It's depends on how you define socialist. I wouldn't really call Sweden socialist, more socially democratic. Norway is socialist though, where in Scandinavia were you Migrendel? The Netherlands is a weird country, they're madly liberal on social issues, allowing drugs and prostitution to be legal. They also want to throw out all Moslems b/c they see them as dangerous to the Dutch tolerant society... Smiley

I like golf.  I played Bethpage Black about 10 years ago and I shot an 88, better than some of the pros who played there at the U.S. Open.  But that isn't saying much because I played from the white tees and the rough cut was much shorter for the public.

I respect your views, Migrendel, and I do not hate socialism, but it is not the direction that my party is headed.  I'll give you the job as head of the education department in the Nym90 administration, if we get that far.

I never played golf. I associate it with all the upper-class brats I'm surrounded by, and so I've never played it. Also, the area where I live is fanatical on tennis, the entire area plays tennis.

What do you mean YOUR party?? YOUR party... Wink

Was I talking to you? No. I don't believe in giving people what they want all the time. Maybe to get them started, but if they want to be successful, let them work for it.

How would I know... Smiley

I suppose I am upper class, and I play tennis, but I don't think of myself as a brat. Obviously, it's a matter of personality, not hobbies, but golf is strongly associated with snobbishness, and I didn't want to be associated with that. Just like I wouldn't wear a swastika, even though they look kind of cool, and originally have nothing to do with nazism. You create an apperance of yourself and you have to think about it. And I find golf boring anyway, so it isn't a sacrifice on my part.

Easy to say when you're upper class, and don't have to live by those rules yourself.
