I have thought for a while he would be a formidable Democratic Candidate. Trump would fall face first trying to intimidate a Navy Seal Admiral. McRaven has also served as the president of a top tier University (sound like any other 2 past presidents?). He also has spoken out over the past few years on Trump’s attack on the press and journalism. From what I’ve heard, he’s also liberal leaning and was the Commander of JSOC who was tasked with killing Osama Bin Laden. What do you think? Could he be a possible candidate? I don’t think this article is indicative of him wanting to run, but I think speaking out more and more will get his name thrown around and he may decide to consider it later this year or early next year.

He has been one of my stealth picks since 2016. I think he would be an incredible candidate if he ran as a progressive, since he doesn't have the baggage of having any unsavory votes.

However, I believe he has leukemia so I think health conditions would prevent him from running. He's also denied interest in running for political office before very explicitly.

Now the only question. Would he be the next General Eisenhower, or the next General Clark?

Now, he's been floated on Atlas in the past as a potential contender for VP. What sparked that interest?

Think Hillary actually considered him and at least there was speculation beyond Atlas.
