There's a liberal branch called the Community of Christ. They split from the main church in the late 19th century, called themselves the "Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" but then changed their name around the 90s or so. They never practiced polygamy, have never excluded blacks from priesthood, ordain women and allow gay members.

It's OK to make fun of religions because unlike race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. it's a self-chosen characteristic. It's like making fun of political parties.
