What might the CA county map look like for a Harris vs. Warren matchup? Who wins each county in gray?

Kamala Harris
Elizabeth Warren
No idea who wins

Harris would probably win Orange County, San Diego County, Santa Barbara County, and Santa Cruz County.

Warren wins northern rural counties, Harris wins the rest.

Santa Cruz is the only county Warren wins south of Mendocino.

Why are the Democrats in rural Northern California (even in the conservative counties) so liberal?

I don't think they are more liberal, just a different kind of liberal. States like MT, ID, and OR voted for Bernie in the 2016 primary because the democratic electorate there is whiter and more "anti-establishment". I suspect norcal voters would support Warren for the same reasons.
