A protectionist (Toomey has a history of advocating free trade and McGinty a history of advocating protectionism).

Lehigh Valley is Toomey's home turf.

Someone who preferred Trump at the top of the ticket but wanted McGinty as a check on him down ballot.

A middle class member of a private sector union. Liked Trump's message on trade, but saw Toomey as a threat.

I was a Toomey, Clinton voter. I voted for Toomey -- on the assumption that Clinton would win -- because I was mistaken about how moderate he supposedly was at the time and because I was bitter about Sestak not getting the nomination. I voted for Clinton because I'm a Democrat and that's how I vote for executive branch elections -- and obviously, Trump was terrible.

So, I suppose, the opposite. Someone who thought McGinty and Trump would both shake up Washington, somehow?

EDIT: Various details, explanation.

Northeast PA WWC voter

The opposite (Clinton-Toomey) would be a moderate in the suburbs of Philly
