I read that Chris Dodd, the long time senator and co-sponsor of the Dodd-Frank Act, was extremely unpopular in 2010 so that he stepped aside in favor of current Senator Richard Blumenthal. What if Dodd ran again as Dem nominee? Does he lose or survive? Blumenthal won the election handily amidst the 2010 Tea Party wave.

I would think it would be much like 2006 for Connecticut, except Linda McMahon defeats both him and Blumenthal by maybe 2-3 points. she loses in 2016 to Blumenthal

Similar to 2006, except Blumenthal wins over a Dodd Indy run. I'm thinking it's a 50-30-20 split for Blumenthal, Dodd, and McMahon respectively.

Blumenthal defeats Dodd in the primary...or if Dodd wins the nomination unopposed, McMahon defeats Dodd in the General Election.

So basically like his father Sen. Thomas Dodd in 1970 With him running 3rd party and a republican wins his seat (Like Lowell Weiker In 1970)
