In the Netherlands the vaccination rate has gone down by quite a bit - not because of evangelical Christians, but because of highly educated greenies who think vaccinations aren't "natural" or some bs. I assume this development takes place in other countries as well. Very tragic and high time to crack down on it: no vaccinations, then no place in kindergarten or elementary school.

I know this thread is mainly being used for a partisan pissing match (it's the hippies fault! No it's Salvini and Grillo!), But it's probably not a coincidence that the largest rise in measles and the bulk of new infections is happening in the only country suffering an armed conflict in its soil.

I honestly don't think there is much of an ideological crux to antivaxxers more than a general dislike of TEH MAN, which is why the least ideological angry party in Europe, the Five Star Dudes, are the biggest villains here. The other thing that could quite easily be blamed is austerity (especially in Greece) and general poor governance (Russia).
