As a Reformed Christian, obviously I am pro-iconoclasm, particularly, when the icon in question isn't of God himself. I can kind of see the case made from Colossians 1:15 for images of Jesus, but genuflecting before an image of the Virgin or a saint, not so much.

Iconoclasm = Agnosticism

A real homo religiosus will always detect HIM in HIS creations in nature&culture - the bonum, verum, pulchrum have 1 common source. (Sure, the OldTestament taught initially pagan people, that HE is a personal will absolved from HIS creations; but since HE became flesh we must paint HIM, what Lukas did of HIS mother, also look at the Sindone in Torino or Manoppello.)
Its iconoclasm demonstrates the satanic character of all puritanism.
