What really pisses me off is how Republicans only appreciate being well-educated if you're one of them. Otherwise, you're an elitist. Granted, that's how Republicans are with everything. If you aren't part of their tribe, they don't give a f*** about you, or outright fear and loathe you.

That's how Democrats think too for others as well.....

Uhh no. Democrats don't denigrate others for being too well-educated. We may criticize these highly educated people like DeSantis or Cruz for being so poorly informed and contrasting with their educational background, but that is entirely different.

The FL GOP will be soul searching if DeSantis loses on Wednesday.

I remember before the primaries when I thought of him as basically a fringe candidate, honestly. I even ignored his late surge and internals and reassured myself that Graham would be the best nominee. I’m happy that I’m seemingly wrong.

I hopped on his bandwagon literally the day before the election. LOL. I'm glad he won. He turned out to be a dynamic and formidable candidate. Florida is very lucky.

So uh, at a Trump/DeSantis rally today, the Trumpsters were screaming “Lock him up!” in regards to Gillum. Huh?

I don’t agree with most of his policies but Gillum really does seem like a pretty good guy.

They do that with all Trump's enemies now, regardless if they are actually suspected of committing crimes or not.

Can't say I'm surprised. His Twitter account seemed to be relatively sympathetic to Gillum post-primary.

If Gillum wins he’s still more endangered by impeachment than Trump is.

I guess if the FBI investigation in Tallahassee expands or seems to encroach further on Gillum's activities, the Republican-dominated state House could try to impeach him. But it's moot anyway, because the state Senate would not convict, as Republicans won't have the votes.

Also, in Florida, I think it takes 2/3rd in the House to impeach?

It would just be crushing for progressives if they/we somehow lost this race. The polls are tightening somewhat as normal for FL.

So I made the mistake of going on the PredictIt comment board. Some trolls insist that EV #s show Gillum can’t win.  Others saying EV #s look good for Gillum to be able to win this thing. Can someone help me not panic about the idea of DeSantis *gags* winning?

Gillum will not win FL. Well it would really surprise me if he did. These betting markets will be wrong on this.

Obama underperformed by an average of nearly 4% in FL on 2008 and 2012 compared to his national average and Gillum isn't drawing minorities to the polls like Obama could.

Nelson could possibly beat Scott because Indies in the past really liked him. That race may be close but Gillum is going to lose despite what any of these polls are saying.

Agreed. It's obvious that Gillum tried to copy Obama, however that's largely been overshadowed by his scandals like the Hamilton tickets for example. We can see in the EV that the blacks are not turning in record numbers for Gillum/Nelson.

https://www.reddit.com/r/The_Donald/comments/9ttd6b/andrew_gillum_flew_in_obama_to_convince_his_own/ More bizarre stuff. Apparently, Gillum's mom needed Obama too convince her to vote for her own son.

We got everything on your guys from stealing from Medicare, to paling around with nazis , to conspiring with a hostile government to commit election fraud and the best you can come up with is finksing Hamilton tickets?

The Hamilton tickets are just a talking point. It has nothing to do with their position on the candidate, because their equation is incredibly simple: if candidate == Democrat, then oppose. The only role these excuses play are verbally defending themselves. If they somehow had absolutely no justification for their position, they would just say nothing but still oppose the Democrat.

Just partisanship in action, really.
