Bush's approval was around 26-27% on Election Day 2008...even if he outdoes his approval by 10% in the NPV, we'd probably still be looking at a 60-37 landslide a la 1964/1972.

I guess the bigger question is would GWB have any path to the Republican nomination with approvals that low, or would the party rally around McCain in the primaries?

Need to take polarization into account, but he does do worse than McCain losing MO, GA, AZ, and MT.

Obama adds Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Georgia and Alaska to the states he won URL.

Also, since it doesn't really matter who he picks now...he might pick Clinton instead of Biden.
